Sorry, English is not my native language. What I was trying to say is, taking my commentary in the Rakuen image as example, is that sometimes the lores of these monster girls are pretty messed up and "impractical" for real life. Not saying that is stupid, just contrasting the comment of cd_young and the reality of this series: a bunch of hypersexualized monster girls.

Well on the note of how the monsters function in regular life, it can be useful to read up on the setting's various books (the three World Guides for instance). They show the monsters being more complex than the profiles sometimes indicate.
Perentie /users/133456 tag:danbooru.me,2005:Comment/1872655 2018-11-27T19:17:41-05:00 2018-11-27T19:17:41-05:00 @Pronak on post #3329542 (genie (monster girl encyclopedia) drawn by kenkou_cross)

Perentie said:

(...)

"By", "because". Power has always had some kind of price to it in the MGE, and the greater the power the more you have to work for it. And accumulating power has always been most easily achieved via sex thanks to how monster mana works in the setting.

Also they don't need to do it to live, they can get mana in other ways, sex is just the best/most efficient way.

And honestly, you do realize that the genies of mythology were not exactly servile. Jinn were routinely depicted as unpredictable or even dangerous. KC's genie having a mean side is actually pretty fitting.

Pronak said:

Eh, it's nothing new. What are you talking about?

Also, I don't see how the comparison to the relatively few monster species that get more subdued when married (for every one that does I can name one that doesn't) has anything to do with the genies. They behave pretty much the same when married, aside from being perhaps even more scheming than before.
Perentie /users/133456 tag:danbooru.me,2005:Comment/1872626 2018-11-27T17:12:48-05:00 2018-11-27T17:12:48-05:00 @Pronak on post #3329542 (genie (monster girl encyclopedia) drawn by kenkou_cross)
Eh, it's nothing new.
