talks like a lolibaba, that's why. Granted, her dialect is primarily Hiroshima (like Urakaze), but unlike Urakaze she uses some antiquated speech patterns. There's also a certain Kyotoite inflection (the 'aristocratic' kind) to her lines.

She's basically a ~nanoja loli, like Hatsuharu, but one with an additional accent on top (so she doesn't actually say "~nanoja", but the overall effect is similar).

The boar abyssal heads on the back is a nice touch for a boss of an event running into 2019.

Still, I can't tell if she actually has legs hidden underneath the fabric of her wafuku while the burly arms back there lift her body entire up...

Did Akira really draw these characters because their designs look different compared to most of the other Abyssals?

The aesthetics may *seem* a bit far from the ol' abyssals, but the shading and drawing style checks out. Compare Nimbus and Dock princess, you can see a lot of similarities between the two. As for this one, generally speaking, original abyssals are drawn by Akira and I assume as someone who essentially set the tone and motif for the abyssals, they get free reign to do whatever they want. As long as the abyssal motif remains, it won't be seen as a heresy.
