What restaurants have you been to, where pancakes are served as "snacks"? And how many Americans do you know who seriously regard annual promotional events as holidays?

Just gonna throw this out there: at the time of writing this, IHOP has all you can eat pancakes with a breakfast meal. At least until March 1.

I've never seen any restaurant sell a stack of pancakes that high. The standard is three for a full stack, two for a short.

Looks like an American breakfast stack of pancakes; they have them as snacks in restaurants, unlike most countries.

And their International [sic] House Of Pancakes [ IHOP ] sometimes gives them away free on holidays, such as National Pancake Day on March 12th --- America has only one pancake day compared to 2 or more National Doughnut Days.

They have a mind-blowing number of annual days dedicated to particular foods *, but the Doughnut Days are the most holy.

Note, Most of those food holidays are bogus and are neither recognized nor celebrated. There are several sites that publish fake national holiday and food calendars as a joke.

Places like IHOP may offer a single or pair of buttermilk pancakes as a side, but a plate like fruit and cream short stack is a full price plate.

Oddly, waffles are a different story even though they are served the same way and are basically the same dish. A single waffle is usually a full price plate regardless.
