Maybe some of HP Lovecraft's Works are part of that Book. That'd be the reason why chen is so scared.

I'd have to vote against that. While the book title isn't obvious in the thumbnail, the faces of Yukari and Ran (and Chen, if you look close enough) are visible enough to see that this is not "heart-warming, but subverted."
