Springfield: Do you like Mica Team?

SKK: They're okay.

Springfield: Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Codename: Bakery Girl came out in 04, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole game has a clear, crisp visual, and a new sheen of consummate PTSD that really gives the game a big boost. It has been compared to Final Fantasy Tactics, but I think Bakery Girl has a far more bitter, depressing tone.

Springfield: Yes it is! In Bakery Girl, Mica introduced Jefuty. I think it was their most cinnamon waifu at their time, so precious, but most people couldn't read the text so they didn't get the story. But they would love her if they could, because it is not just about her struggles as a character, or her outward appearance, but she is a statement about the path of society and our motivations in how we shape the future.

I don't know, the establishing strip at the beginning seems to have Deutschee disposing of the whole "lowly animal" thing when they're alone and Commander doesn't seem overly concerned about babying her ego which tends to be the case in the actual canon. Also the casual requests to retrieve beer for both.

It gives me a feel of having worked together for a long time and comfort with each other's presence and quirks. Honestly having a box of condoms in the desk drawer wouldn't feel out of place to me for how I'm reading into it.

I failed as a degenerate, apparently, since I didn't understand at all what the ID tag is supposed to reference.
So I had to do some research.

And I'm still not sure this really is a direct reference to Emergence.
I mean, there are some serious and annoying etiquette rules for document photos in japan, so her ID photo being plain and generic is par for the course. And her nerdy design is pretty much the very stereotype for the nerdy girl.

Unless the artist himself says it's a reference to Emergence, I tend to think this is a bunch of snowflakes looking for something to be offended about.

In scenario, Marblehead might simply be a nerdy girl that is trying to make a total makeover for her naval-base debut, in an attempt to be more accepted than before.

And I'd like to see a "closet nerd" Marblehead interacting with the KanColle's "closet geek" Iowa.
What can I do? I love crossovers. XD
