Tried Anime Boxes. Works fine for me, although loading is a little slow when Gelbooru is selected as a server (Danbooru is also used as a separate server in my case).

Try this:

Go into settings.
Open "Service Settings".
Tap the + icon.
Under "Service name" enter "Danbooru".
Under "Service URL" enter "https://danbooru.me".
Under "Username" enter your Danbooru user name.
Under "Password/API key" enter your API key. You can find your API key on the "My Account" page on Danbooru.
Tap "OK".

Nori has just been (re-)released on the Google Play Store.

I've decided that the best way to avoid violating Google's content policy (and move the project forward) would be to turn it into a general purpose image search client with Flickr replacing Safebooru as the default API. All the features that make it great for browsing boorus are still there, but you have to add them to the "Service Settings" list manually. Support for more sites (such as Reddit/Imgur) is on the way.

I have no intention of restricting what sites people can use. The Google Play version won't come with Safebooru (or any other site) configured by default, but you will still be able to add whatever site you like manually.
