Tag implication: rape -> forced

create implication rape -> forced

Link to implication

I'm not sure it would apply in all situations seeing as how an unconscious person couldn't be "forced" ? Or can they? But still, 99% or all the rape images should have the tag "forced" as well.

Keep in mind that the rape tag is 10 times larger than forced

Mostly because it isn't something that comes to mind.
I didn't know this tag exists at all.

I don't think so because they aren't really active in the act of sex. They're just treated like unconscious living sex toys.

A sleeping person doesn't have a will per se. So they aren't aware of anything and can't be forced.
Rape can be if the criminal is exploiting the unawareness of a person.
At least in German law it is.

So I give this implication a big -1.

But maybe it is possible to do a "smart" type implication? One that doesn't implicate images that have both the tag sleeping/unconscious and rape.

You can do a mass update but nothing permanent. If we had "smart implications" imagine the entangling implications and contradictions, it would be messy.

I think this is a bad idea though. If you search forced you would get mostly results for rape. I think they should be separated in some way rather than make most rape images forced. Forced has an insufficient wiki entry hence this is a bad implication/mass update idea.

Rejected for reasons mentioned; if there are any exceptions, alias/implications should not be made. You can do some manual tag gardening and selectively populate forced from rape -sleeping where it applies, though.

Okay, then how about one of your mods do the taging with a taging bot? Much simpler to auto-tag all rape images with "forced" and then remove the few ones where the rape victim is sleeping, than to manually tag 10k images.

This still doesn't address all the concerns mentioned in forum #121730. I think it's safe to say that if anyone wants to find rape, they will search for that tag on its own. Merging the tags like this and further saturating forced with rape images doesn't appreciably improve anyone's ability to search for anything. On the contrary, it only complicates searching for non-rape things like post #398614 or post #1583901.

It might be better to distinguish between these two tags in the same way that we do with bondage and tied up. Use rape for rape and forced for everything else.

As a side note, there is a tag for rape + sleeping, it's called sleep_molestation. But it seems fairly underpopulated.

No it does. I didn't say it should be implicated, I said a tagbot should just add forced to all rape images.

So you are saying the tag forced should be removed from all rape images?

I meant the "If you search forced you would get mostly results for rape" bit. Flooding the forced tag with rape doesn't meaningfully improve search, regardless of how the tags are applied.

So you are saying the tag forced should be removed from all rape images?

In general, yes. I can think of a few possible corner cases where both might apply, e.g., one character forcing another at gunpoint to rape a third character. Situations like these seem extremely unlikely and I doubt there are any such images on this site. But making the two tags independent of each other would make it possible to search for things like this.

I hope I can add some clarity to this.

We should distinguished force from rape, given that rape is forcing oneself on another for penetration/sex, whereas 'force' should be considered for our purposes as coercing another against their will, with the understanding the coerced person is conscious, sober, and knows what is going on which would exclude the inebriated.
