The artist got paid either way to do the work, and its seen as a reward. Does it really matter if it was a single payer or multiple payers through a crowdfund? Some artists choose an alternate service (such as Gumroad) to provide their older works or wholly separate and distinct works, so there's that also.</p><p>Plus, having a blanket tag would result in a more conclusive policy layout for how we'll treat these posts in the future (if we do, ever), and when and where these may apply.</p><p><a class="dtext-link dtext-wiki-link tag-type-5" href="/wiki_pages/commission">commission</a> is left out... for less-than-clear usage and presence.</p><p>I'll be linking to other topics regarding these later if I remember to, but for now this is what we've got.</p><p>EDIT: Note that I'm not including works from DLsite or DMM...
