[APPROVED] Tag implication: partial_commentary -> commentary_request

Posted under Tags

I think it should first be decided whether such a tag is warranted at all. Less than several users have performed the majority of that tag's population, and does not represent consensus IMO for such a critical change to one of this site's functions.

As for myself, I'm completely ambivalent. If it's what everyone else want to do, then I'll go along, but would be just as happy if the tag gets nuked.

I do think it is useful - there are quite a few images where the title has been translated but not the underlying commentary, for example.

I would assume that the low use is because not many people know about it yet, and because it isn't one of the tick boxes when filling in a commentary field.

I agree with kuuderes. I personally wouldn't bother manually adding the tag if it's not in the field.

But then the same would apply to partially_translated. For normal users, only translated matters and for translators, only translation_request matters.

It's worth keeping it around anyway, just in case there comes a time when adding commentary would work like note does with the "Mark as translated" thingy.

@evazion Could we get a checkbox for partial_commentary in the Add artist commentary box? That's the only way it's going to see widespread use.
