Danbooru

tag alias: brs -> black_rock_shooter

That's unintuitive and inconsistent with Wikipedia's redirection system. But I suppose if everyone else is used to doing this, then we can use glasnost's method.

Okay, I'll bite. Why did you expect Danbooru's system to consistent with Wikipedia's?

Because Wikipedia's system is more like a search engine that lets you visit a page without the need to learn a new form of syntax. If we had to type /brs, /laser, or /aol, then some people might be confused as to what they should be typing, since they are all abbreviations but some abbreviates are standard terminology.

yeah, it's just that most users don't know about the cheat sheet, tho I didn't even know about the / for shortcuts

You might want to clarify your position here. Anyways, the / is not part of that page.

BTW do we have a shortcut for the_legend_of_zelda and sonic_the_hedgehog?

No. There is no aliased or inferred shortcut for any keyword related to the legend of zelda, as can be seen from

Well, as others said, this isn't wikipedia so their practices aren't relevant.

I'll add /brs -> black_rock_shooter since I thought it existed already, and /brsc for the character.

I wanted bump this up for a suggestion.
Can the universe of Black Rock Shooter be called _(series) / _(world) / _(universe) and give Black Rock Shooter her name without _(character) added to it?

So far it has been a video / ova / game / figure etc. The same as Kirby_(series) and Kirby.

Updated

we use _(world) on 3dbooru mostly because it allowed me to add a copyright tag without messing with subscriptions to the character tag but also because typing _(character) is more unwieldy than typing _(world).

Is any agreement to it?
Btw. Puchitto Rock Shooter is coming soon... although it has been seen before as figures and such.

Ugh... please use "Petit" not "Puchitto". Unless you want to go all out and call it "Puchitto Rokku Shuutaa".

lol okay. Even though its just trading one foreign name for another. But what if Puchitto is the official title and name for various parts of the game?

Way to miss the point.

No, I got what he meant, I just found it funny. And I was referring to Puchitto being printed on anything official, despite it being hiragana. But never mind, moving on.

Updated

Be nice to unico guys, I like her[? him? it?].

If it's going for a non-Japanese word, as it is in this case, we'd use the word's spelling in its original language. Even if it's in hiragana.

As for renaming the character... Mmm, it seems like it would go against our policy of giving the copyright the base tag. See for example potemayo and... I know I had more examples but they're escaping me.

Or, was that our policy...? catherine is the opposite.

Okay I don't know if we have a policy.
