I might be reading this wrong but can't you just put the alias you want by editing the artists profile page?
For example, if you go to chun_(pixiv75764), click on edit and then enter achunchun in the alias box you can alias achunchun to chun_(pixiv75764).

Not really, it only works for an artist db search if you do it that way.
Yeah, the alias field in the artist entry is something different.

How about this:

The pixiv username is "★Yuuki", so for lack of an alternative nonnumeric, how about yuuki_(star)?

yuuki107834 and yuuki1103 are unique enough they wouldn't need to be qualifiers but every option for this artist is pretty bad. It's pretty obvious the 1078344 used on his blog is derived from his pixiv account number, though.

No it isn't. sora_tsuki was a separate artist a few minutes ago before I changed it to sora_tsuki24. I suggested the qualifier because it needed it.
