Please explain the difference between the tags sports uniform and sportswear, if any.

Ideally, sports uniform should be for just that. Actual athletic uniforms of somesort. Baseball, Basketball, Football, Soccer, whatever.

On the other hand, sportswear should be for things like exercise shorts, PE Uniforms, exercise tights and stuff like that.

I have a feeling both are horribly misused though...

Then, I think these two tags should be merged. If we need to show a distinction between types of sports clothes, we may as well use very clear and specific tags like basketball uniform and baseball uniform, and even the popular baseball cap.

I think I tend to use sports_uniform when it's clear that it's the uniform of some kind of sport but I'm not sure what the exact sport is. Maybe we should have an implication from basketball_uniform, baseball_uniform, and the like to sports_uniform in order to have it as catch-all tag. I'd say tennis_uniform too but it tends to look different since it often has a skirt for girls.

The distinction between the "sports uniform" and the "sportswear" is too troublesome and can easily be handled by the specific sports tags, such as "basketball uniform".

So, let me ask for some cleanup, this way:

Alias:

• sports uniform -> sportswear

Implications:

• baseball_uniform -> sportswear
• basketball_uniform -> sportswear
• tennis_uniform -> sportswear

There are some other tags for sports uniforms that are virtually unused, such as football uniform with only 2 posts. I normally ignore unpopular tags when asking for a bunch of implications.
