Tag Suggestions: asymmetrical_eyes, _pupils, _eyebrows(?)

Posted under General

While uneven_eyes has established itself, it still doesn't sound too good for me.

Would asymmetrical_eyes work better for us? It'd still be the same definition as above, with exception to eye colors and the pupils/irises, the latter then falling under asymmetrical_pupils (to match constricted_pupils).

Then there's a matter of eyebrows. Searching tags for *_eyebrow* gives raised_eyebrow as the most populated position-relevant tag, but there's also raised_eyebrows, cocked_eyebrow, and a lone case of furrowed_eyebrows.

I'd like to see an asymmetrical_eyebrows tag. For one, it could be used in combination (or exclusion) with raised_eyebrow/s, so we could separate, say, inquisitive looks from surprised ones. Aside from aliasing and implicating, furrowed_eyebrows seems like a tag with promise, but how should it be defined? Just with the inner ends downward (>:)), or upward, too (that sad, pathetic look)? And cocked_eyebrow, I've used for that inquisitive look, but it could just get shuffled into raised_eyebrow, if that doesn't get aliased somehow.

...Does this jumbled can of worms catch anyone's interest, here?

I really don't see a reason to make a new tag for something that is already covered by existing ones. uneven_eyes is fine as is, heterochromia covers different colors, and I don't remember any posts that would need the asymmetrical_pupils tag, aside of text_in_eyes or maybe symbol-shaped pupils but these are fine as is too.

The same goes for eyebrows tags.

Or do you want to simply make an umbrella tags?

post #307983 and related is the only time I ever remember seeing [asymmetrical_pupils].

But adding on to MyrMindservant said, unless you find a difference visually distinct enough that it can be objectively defined and applied, splitting a tag into so many similar ones only confuses people.

Because I still don't feel confident in my suggestions, I'll only reply to the asymmetrical_pupils idea. It might just fall under constricted_pupils or crazy_eyes, but say in Western cartoons when a character eats something very hot/spicy, and one pupil shrinks while the other stays the same or goes wide. That concept.
