They are a type of headgear.

Wouldn't that imply that they're something that is worn? I think the wiki is also kind of incorrect calling them "accessories." For android characters and I guess some cyborgs, that is their actual ears, not something worn over their ears as some decoration.

Also even if we do consider them "accessories," I'm not sure labeling them headgear is right either. It would be the same as labeling ear buds or a hearing aid as "headgear" in my opinion. They're usually not like headphones, as they usually lack the strap that headphones have that go over the head. Also they usually do not impede wearing real "headgear" (hats: post #903461 or hardhats: post #277090).
