censorship purpose genius. TV is more open to the public than manga, if pushy parents find out that they show those kind of stuff that are intended to kids, they'll go ape-shit.
So is bleach considered a kids show in Japan? Because in the US it's on Adult Swim after midnight. You'd think with all the violence in this show, that the kids could handle a little underboob.

america and japan have different ways of viewing things. And yes Bleach is a kids show (preteens more like it) after all it's shonen. It seems they're more concerned with nudity rather than violence.

Because underboob is a thousand times more scaring and emotionally traumatizing than death and violence. That's how we roll in America!

Problem is that the original (Japanese) anime did this. It strikes me as stupid the censorship this show is suffering. The Szaeyel regeneration scene, Harribel, among other things.

Well, Putting the Manga aside since kids are more likely to watch anime than read the manga. I kinda agree with the censorship of Szaeyel's whole "Jesus rebirth" thing. I think might tramatize some kids.
It's because you actually have to go out and BUY the manga (or Jump, anyway), and that can be spotted/intercepted around the house. The anime, however, is easily accessible to anyone on TV, and (I believe) is aired at a time of day when even the younger kids might view it.
