Edit
A popular (in Japan) video game series produced by Sega and Red Entertainment, beginning in 1996. It consists of five main games, which are hybrid tactical RPG/dating sims, and numerous spinoffs in various genres. There are also several anime adaptations, a manga adaptation of the first game, and even live-action performances by the seiyuu. The fifth game was released in America in 2010 (five years after its Japanese release) under the title "Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love", and is the only game in the series that has been released outside of Japan.
