m203
A single-shot 40mm grenade launcher designed to be mounted under the barrel of a rifle. It was designed to replace the M79, which was a stand-alone weapon. The under-barrel design gave soldiers the advantage of having both a rifle and grenade launcher at their disposal that they could easily switch between, making them more adaptable in combat. It was originally designed for the M16 and M4 Carbine but can be fitted to many other rifles without modification.
