multicolored clothes
Umbrella tag to group together different articles of clothing that have at least two or more visible colors present in their design. On Danbooru, this is called multicolored. There are some standards when determining what qualifies as multicolored:
- Any use of greyscale (i.e. black -> grey -> white) is a null color no matter how many shades are used, and can go with any other hue without making it "multicolored" (post #2382919; post #2377823). The proper way to tag post #2377823 would be purple_skirt checkered_skirt, so that the purple_skirt tag covers the purple hue while the checkered_skirt tag covers the black hues and overall design.
- EXCEPTION: If a null color is present in a design that incorporates two or more non-null colors and is evenly distributed throughout the design, such as post #1949102.
- Any shade of the same hue for other colors wouldn't make it multicolored, no matter how many shades are used (e.g. light blue -> blue -> navy blue) (post #6365). In this example post, it would be tagged blue_panties striped_panties.
- Any type of different hued trimming would not make it multicolored. It has to be part of the main pattern.
- Any type of common print_* object or *_print pattern would not make it multicolored. The most commonly tagged designs are listed below.
- EXCEPTION: When at least one solid colored print pattern is a visibly different hue to...
- Another solid colored print pattern (post #1613235)
- Or to the main body of clothing (post #1834225)
- As before greyscale does not count
- Any additional decorations such as bows and ornaments would not make it multicolored. Bows have their own color subsets.
In essence, multicolored clothes need to have unusual colors and styles that pop out visually to the viewer. These guidelines are in place in order to eliminate the greyscale colors and group together all other colors in a multicolored design.
