If anyone recalls from a long time ago (around 2005), the term "ecchi" was beginning to enter circulation on the internet in the west mostly as a result of the /e/ (ecchi) board on 4chan. Prior to that, there was really only the term "hentai" for any anime image lewder than what people considered to be fairly modest (I remember a sibling of mine referring to Tenchi Muyo as "hentai", yes, people really thought that way at one point).

Anyone who can remember that far back can remember countless threads where Tamaki dominated /e/cchi related topics simply because her material was erotic, but not erotic enough to fit in the more grotesque hentai categories. Which is very similar to how I've felt about Danbooru as a website, making this image quite an interesting coincidence ending up as the site's first upload.

I've been long grateful a place like Danbooru exists; where lewd art can be shared that respects the art spirit within all of us by upholding standards of quality, not just simply quantity.

Well, I finally thought to do what I do on sites where it's viable: find the first viewable post. First I've heard of this series, so the thankfully short trip was worth something....assuming I decide to look into it. I think this is the first time that post #1 was viewable on a site, since most seem to be a privated test image or something long deleted.

Like others have commented, I also would find it hilarious if it was just an image of a cardboard box. Oh well, missed opportunity there. Well, this was a long post for a short pilgrimage, so I'll stop talking your eyes out now.
