Despite our long history of violence (I'm not touching the sex), we've made so many advances as a result of it. One of the most mundane yet useful and famous examples of this is duct tape. Most research done for military purposes meant to making killing each other easier have also lead to some of the greatest breakthroughs in written history.

Even the internet and computers you're using to look at that image or read this message is a result of that. Yes, all of these have brought upon less than savory qualities out of man (the internet especially) but that's merely a result of how we use them. Human beings have the potential of doing so much more good. But just as they say, the world is bad because the good remain silent.

The me some 5 or so years ago would probably look at my message now and think "What the hell is this faggot going on about. The world sucks, deal with it. Just go out to the streets or watch the news and you'll see." Except I still do that. Human beings can change for the better, even if not by their actions but at least by their outlooks. And that's one step away from doing charity work at an orphanage that the old me would never have imagined himself doing now.
escav /users/195853 tag:danbooru.me,2005:Comment/918161 2011-11-09T21:58:41-05:00 2011-11-09T21:58:41-05:00 @general_tiu on post #116042 ( drawn by milo_manara)
I would never see historical pictures the same way again after this.
general_tiu /users/328882 tag:danbooru.me,2005:Comment/898880 2011-10-09T03:57:13-04:00 2011-10-09T03:57:13-04:00 @hikari_luv_shirayuki on post #116042 ( drawn by milo_manara)
I spot Silvio Berlusconi
hikari_luv_shirayuki /users/98408 tag:danbooru.me,2005:Comment/811932 2011-05-27T06:51:22-04:00 2011-05-27T06:51:22-04:00 @LeChatRose on post #116042 ( drawn by milo_manara)

Giant+Robot said:
So, the next part will feature space-sex than?

Yes; In flying cars; after we got out of our silver jumpsuits.
LeChatRose /users/97095 tag:danbooru.me,2005:Comment/805349 2011-05-17T08:41:54-04:00 2011-05-17T08:41:54-04:00 @titswifter on post #116042 ( drawn by milo_manara)

unicode said:
On the revolutionary note, my opinion is that all of these "bad" things have successfully allowed the humans to reach the top of food chain, to thrive in numbers and to outlive many other species.

...to continue killing uncounted numbers and exterminating many other species. :|

Civilized men would not have been able to compete against the primitive beasts.

Only because one is civilized doesn't mean he dies freely.
Self-preservation will eventually kick in.
