I've seen that shredder video. Resulting chicken paste is used to feed ferrets and other animals that are raised solely to be skinned for fur coats and shit, so it's not like male chickens are useless.

Well, it's what's shown in the third frame: Chicks start huddling up one-by-one inside the hand to keep warm.

Beyond that, there's reason to be upset about abuses of chicken farming beyond simply being a vegan. Let John Oliver explain how corporations destroy the lives of everyone in the unfortunate position of working for them, while calling the congresspeople that support the corporations over their constituents 'chicken fuckers'.
