One of those "experiments" was to test the reaction of a pregnant woman when it was injected some kind of bleach. That shit traumatized me for months.

So, in the context of this comic: I think some of these experiments should serve a "greater good", without ignoring the moral and ethical debate about these kind of experiments, but when greed or even power is what fuels these kinds of experiments and is against the will of the subject, there's no reason.
Pronak /users/333276 tag:danbooru.me,2005:Comment/1864256 2018-10-29T13:14:25-04:00 2018-10-29T13:14:25-04:00 @79248cm/s on post #3118464 (artificial angel (original) drawn by araido_kagiri)

Garrus said:
...

Not typically in the US or any first world country, but in other countries there are plenty of groups that use people (usually they just pay them rather than kidnapping since the poverty levels there make it much easier and cheaper) and experiment on them. Examples are the early exploits in developing modern reconstructive surgery techniques we use today. And it isn't an outdated issue either. Unethical human experimentation still is a pretty significant component of human trafficking crimes around the world, and probably will continue to be considering how difficult it is to gain approval for human experimentation in most countries. The problem is that it is legally difficult to impossible to go after a group that works in a different country under the name of a different organization unless you catch them in an act that strictly ties the two groups. It is like a hydra, you break up one group and they will just rename themselves and make another.

And of course since science is the pursuit of knowledge that by nature isn't strictly grounded in our current expectations of reality, I wouldn't doubt there were/are groups out there researching occult projects like angel making (not really sure what that would even mean). I doubt it would be their primary project though since they would need to make their money by selling actual progress in more pragmatic topics.
79248cm/s /users/375497 tag:danbooru.me,2005:Comment/1816668 2018-05-09T13:43:33-04:00 2018-05-09T13:45:25-04:00 @Garrus on post #3118464 (artificial angel (original) drawn by araido_kagiri)
Worse, they succeeded. Which means they would probably do exactly what they did to her to other people as well. And judging by everything on hand, the priesthood was in on this as well. That Gothic oubliette ain't something you're going to find in a scientific institution.
Garrus /users/513931 tag:danbooru.me,2005:Comment/1816654 2018-05-09T13:06:21-04:00 2018-05-09T13:06:21-04:00 @NegativeSoul on post #3118464 (artificial angel (original) drawn by araido_kagiri)

M0131U5 said:

heart breaking?

Hell yeah. These scientists apparently took a regular human girl and tried to artificially transform her into an angel in order to gain ground in god's domain. But the sheer blasphemy, as well as cruelty of the experiments warrants absolute contempt for their souls. And the poor girl was left to suffer for who knows how long.
NegativeSoul /users/437041 tag:danbooru.me,2005:Comment/1816624 2018-05-09T11:17:55-04:00 2018-05-09T11:17:55-04:00 @M0131U5 on post #3118464 (artificial angel (original) drawn by araido_kagiri)
heart breaking?
M0131U5 /users/558780
