The fur lined clothing probably isn't helping. Though this gets back to the "all of Russia is arctic" cliche in itself, I'm with you though. I noted this all the way back when Gangut herself came out, she served almost entirely in the south too in areas with plenty hot summers.

Don't you know? According to people from other parts of the world with only the vaguest familiarity with the country, all of Russia is above the Arctic Circle. They have no such concept as "Summer" or "Warmth" or "Sun" there.
