I usually have 2RF 2HG 1SMG I don't have enough HG's that I am confidant can tank well enough.

I use WA2k and SVD behind makarov, Calico and the SPP. They debuff enemy evasion and accuracy on top of the tile buffs and it works pretty well. Especially at night.

I prefer using Spectre or Scorpion as barricades though. Spectre's far more accessible early game so she's A-tier on my book as a barricade.
