Now that I think about it, isn't there a pool for Volume 3? Should we just upload the other volumes here so that they can be given a proper translation, even if it's not typeset into the actual images?

From a cursory examination (skimming through the JP and EN texts on sadpanda, that is):

VI + α (the one I critiqued earlier) is done by a newbie translator (note also the typesetting) who doesn't really understand the text and 'makes up' for it my taking far too many translation liberties (to connect the fragments he does understand).

VI is done by someone else, and done very well.

Most of the others are done by some group called CabulLuRiz. The translation is generally competent, aside for some minor hiccups for some of the harder 'archaic' grammar used for poetic/dramatic effect. The main problem is that there are frequent grammatical mistakes that can sometimes obscure the meaning of the text or make it hard to read (V being particularly bad for example). Overall, I'll say the translator in the group knows his stuff (most of the time, aside from some of the less common 'archaic' grammar, or some highly context-dependent speech that are implied instead of explicitly said), but doesn't speak English as a first language so there is likely some degree of 'double-translation' going on (by the editor/proofreader) causing things to get lost in translation. Of course, whoever's doing the editing/proofreading doesn't seem to be a native English speaker either, causing some grammar mistakes and odd phrasings to slip in.

But yeah, overall, the translator understands the text (not perfect, but mostly okay), unlike the one for VI + α. Of course, since most people can't read Japanese, it's usually the one with bad grammar that gets criticized for being a bad translation (despite being faithful to the original text) instead of the 'well'-rewritten mostly make-up text written in fluent English (like all those MTLs rewrites for web novels). CGRascal, for example, gets a lot of (personally I think undeserved) flak for this, due to some odd phrasings and minor grammatical mistakes.
NNescio /users/333230 tag:danbooru.me,2005:Comment/1883044 2019-01-03T18:59:34-05:00 2019-01-03T18:59:34-05:00 @MarqFJA87 on post #3367232 (maegami-chan (getsuyoubi no tawawa) drawn by himura_kiseki)

NNescio said:

Out of curiosity, I went and dug out copies of both the raw and translation, and yes, I can verify that it's a mistranslation.
