It looks like a sequel to the previous one, but the settings are different this time.

For now we don't know if he'll continue but it seem it will.
For now he's republishing every panel.

Didn't this series previously get declared as "finished", before the artist eventually caved in to popular demand and restarted it?

That's definitely bittersweet. The puns are challenging to localize, but certainly not enough to make me want the series to end.
