Damn, I might have to take that back.. I still haven't watched gunbuster 2 (I'm afraid), but I just took a quick look at that scene with Tycho...

Considering how accurately depicted most these cats are, and the fact that the cat in question doesn't exactly have yellow eyes (like daniel would), I now realise these cats look quite alike, and am now leaning more toward it being Tycho. Enough so that I might propose fixing the tag. Can I change my vote? -_-; I wish we could see the base of the tail, or that it were tagged on pixiv.

I agree. That was my first thought as well. I'm completely sure it's Daniel from Shinigami no Ballad (unless for some reason there's another cat that looks just like him). (This is one of the cases where he isn't showing his shinigami wings.)
