My money's on it being some type of coilgun, with the wiring feeding power to the magnetic coils that accelerate the projectile. But seeing as everything's magnet-based, then yes, taking its sheer size into account, this gun would theoretically have no recoil whatsoever...

Not that you have to feel a gun's kick for it to be deadly. Longer barrel = more room for multiple acceleration stages = greater muzzle velocity. And that is a LONG barrel. Forget wrecking ball-sized holes, this thing's gonna fucking annihilate anything it hits.

Unless she weighs more then the gun (possible, likely she's some sort of android), she'd be blasted back regardless of how strong she is. Simple physics. Also, she should be sinking into the dirt right now.

Still, a gun this epic would probably put wrecking-ball sized holes in ships even if it doesn't fire explosive rounds.
