Rinnosuke and Tokiko for Touhou 14.5. (I don't think they would appear in regular danmaku-type installments given Rinnosuke's inability to use danmaku and Tokiko's status as a weak youkai, but you never know.)

Now that you mention it, he does bear a striking resemblance to Auron in this. He's even got a scar on his face, albeit not in the same spot. He's got a katana as well(although it is not as wide as Auron's), and his clothes are even similar.

He's from Touhou, a upward shooting game with lots and lots of girls and bullets. They made an anime of touhou, but it didn't go too well since I guess people just don't think it's right and stuff. That is, assuming you don't know what touhou is.
Rinnosuke, the dude here but more wimpier and nerdier, is from a book which name i forgot. The books just talk about the point of view through the only man and almost human person.

I don't think he's flying. It's clearly quite stormy in there so the wind's blowing his clothes around.

I'm more interested in the smoking hand though. Looks like he finally got down to practicing his danmaku. Next thing we know he'll be revealed as Youki's true successor and all will be right with Gensokyo.
