That TBD 8-T-14 was the TBD used by Ensign George Gay. He was the only survivor of Torpedo Squadron 8, which lost all of it's TBD's during the battle.

Only 4 Devastators survived, 3 of them from VT-6 of the Big E, one from the Yorktown, the only US carrier lost during the battle.

The Kaga was hit by 4 bombs, one blowing off her bridge. Soryu suffers 3 bomb hits from dive-bombers from USS Yorktown.

As for the Akagi? It was hit by only a single bomb, but her hangars where the bomb hit, were filled with fully refuelled bombers, torpedoes, bombs and fuel in the tanks in the sides of the hangars.

That is most certainly not Kaga. Three twin mounts of 127mm guns per side and mounted behind the island (which itself is on the port side) and just three casemated 203mm guns on the rear flank of the hull makes that CV the Akagi.
