As of the "Mirage of Steel Blue" WSG spin-off, Atlanta now shares the same VA as San Diego. Doubly funny because of the WSG Atlanta-class' cat motifs, because one of Asuka Itou's previous roles prior to Sandy and Atlanta was IDW DA NYAA!!
