Oh, come on! My S3 mini is old enough and yet it has assistive light and x4 magnification. I'm sure current smartphones do better than that.

Sometimes I use it to read small printed texts, occasional pest control identification and for verification of bill security measures.
Isn't the double-edged blade an accident waiting to happen?

IIRC the two sides normally had different sized teeth back in the day (many still do I think) one coarse and one finer for detail work. Probably quite useful back in the day when these things were made by a blacksmith, but likely less important now that basically anyone can afford multiple separate handsaws.

Tk3997/users/66868tag:danbooru.me,2005:Comment/18606512018-10-16T12:20:21-04:002018-10-16T12:20:21-04:00@Barrakketh on post #3286945 (kochiya sanae and tatara kogasa (touhou) drawn by mizuki_hitoshi)

Japanese saws cut on the pull stroke (western saws cut on the push which lets you put some weight into the cut), so the only time you should be applying any degree of force would have your hand slipping away from the blade.

And if it were dropped, I'd be applying the same rule you should with a knife: a falling knife has no handle.
