I think that's also a jab at sparrows having less than great eyesight compared to other birds. Thing is, this eyesight is still above and beyond any of the humans who read the paper.

As opposed to, say, food puns on a cryptic strategist character becoming the ONE character trait on Yuyuko? At least "9" was in line with some of her displayed in-game characteristics.

Gluttonous ghost is as old as dirt. Depending entirely on a very bored person reading a very specific manual is dumb.

  • Either people don't even know what this pool is, or there may exist a thing called Touhou tertiaries, heaven forbid either.

To who it may concern, Hina is basically a doll god, so she ends up in pics with Alice from time to time.

  • I have no idea why in God's name I'm arguing about this, of all the things in the world, especially on an old post, but here we go.

Rei is not simply Yui salvaged, she is an outright genetic clone to some degree. If she was just salvaged, everything would be fine... I guess. Actually, if it's changed so that she's salvaged in the movies, that would fit very well with all the Shinji x Rei action we see.

The thing a lot of people don't get about cloning is that unless you go to the effort of making a doppelganger, clones are essentially children. Real life cloning is literally making an embryo to be put where it needs to be in order to be born, and one would think fictional cloning works the same way. Eva even explicitly states that if Shinji were a girl, he would be named Rei, implying that if Shinji had a sister she'd probably look something like Rei. Siscon, basically. It should also be noted that since Rei also has Lilith genetics, that sorta makes her a half-sister.

Truly, we don't see a lot of how Shinji feels about his mom, except in the manga's episode 20 where she actually projects herself directly and tries to convince Shinji to stay with her... and Shinji rejects her. The manga is very different, so...

  • And now we have some blind perfectionist psycho going around flagging things for reasons that are either outright untrue or that apply to about half the images coming in on a daily basis. I saw some other image flagged for even more insane reasons, probably the same person.

"Plank" bullshit never holds and cuts out 90% of otherwise valid artstyles that are on this site, the flagger has no idea what perspective is and no idea that we have an entire tag dedicated to these "weird knees", they are literally complaining about a few pixels that probably isn't even a real error if you think about it, and the last two just don't even make any sense. This is not even considering that it's just lines and not a super detailed piece, which is not something to flag over.

The few pixels is the only potentially valid complaint here, and it's probably not even an actual error. The other image I saw was even less valid, and if we held anything in this site to that standard we'd have maybe one image coming in a day. Only thing that needs to get flagged here is whoever's doing this.

    <MORE DOTS>

I cannot stand the mod team because they have bizzaro taste that leads to good images being flagged over a really minor detail, and completely poorly drawn ones being approved on sight. I also know that it's their site. They are free to do whatever the hell they want, and the only thing you are allowed to do is take it or leave it. Maybe you need to look in the mirror before you call yourself the judge of what's right or not.

edit: Definitely not agreeing with this guy. I didn't down vote you, for what that might be worth.

  • I hope that's not the case. Throwing away a great image simply because of some vague detail is pretty unforgiveable next to the amount of legitimate garbage that's approved on a daily basis without question.

Yes, other uploads do matter, especially recent ones. No, flagging those images isn't going to help anything, and that suggestion completely detracts from the point.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the fellow is Prince Shotoku from Gag Manga Biyori. I'm not exactly sure what he, Kyouko, and an Espeon-blob which are doing together but hey, I can roll with it.

Miko is based on Shoutoku. Looks like Taoism just got another convert.

  • Whoever flagged this is insane. This is a decent sketch that is significantly better than the vast majority of the art uploaded here on a daily basis. If this gets deleted, there's a lot of other garbage that needs to be deleted immediately.

  • frandle = flandre

    btw

I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be Fran-something anyway, because Fran is pretty common shorthand for a girl's name. Thanks, "English" speakers.

  • (I would have lived with the Sailor's and General's being items if that was development over the course of the show, in Crystal... that idea comes out of NO WHERE).

Why do people keep saying this? Takeuchi herself talked about this again and again and again, and Kunzite/Venus and Jadeite/Mars actually happened.

For the record, because someone is somehow going to use this post as "proof" of me defending Crystal (I am not being paranoid, people have done this to me), I understand (not "think") Crystal is absolute garbage.

  • nothing boyish in lenen that isn't all over touhou for days. the nature of lenen makes it silly to support this choice; steven universe does this better.

creator's stated explanation is that you're supposed to liken these characters to what would normally be weird inhuman-looking forces of nature. now, it's pretty obvious what their (the creator's) real motive is...

although i'd like to point out that yabusame is totally koishi, and that the somewhat common koishi genderswap always made some weird kind of sense well before lenen existed

(i guess that makes tsubakura, who is definitely not a boy btw, satori (and a better shrine-maiden-like-person than reimu), which is cute)

  • you'd think that her attacks being very simple (almost traditional) in a world of complicated and even complex patterns would scream "distinct", but noooo

"bland" means "i don't like it", and value judgements equals opinionated drivel

(she doesn't even have a title, because she deleted it from reality

  • the reason zun wants to leave pc-98 alone is the same reason that stephen king dislikes carrie; they think that these older works are too "crude" and even "childish" for them to appreciate anymore

really, most people do this with everything, all the time... even when their later works are about the same (or, in some cases, worse). people are dumb
