When was the moment that you realized that Kawayabug is actually read as Kawaï bug?

I remember it as if it were only seconds ago.

Because it was.

damn...

It just reached the threshold to activate the law "if it exists, there's a touhou fanart of it", that's all

The reaction from Kokoro and the Tsukumos is pretty clearly a reference to Eyeshield 21's "haha brothers". I'm not sure it's worthy of a tag, though

For the record, I went back and forth on the title for a bit and settled on the nicely alliterative Daidara Diaries after toying with Daidara Observation Log at first. That'd be a perhaps more literal translation of "Kenbunroku", but the main place where the word is actually used seems to be in the title of "The Travels of Marco Polo", so I decided that Observation Log was a bit too much science and not enough adventure. On that note, fun trivia: Marco Polo's book is actually called "Touhou Kenbunroku".

As for the series length, Munakata seems to have slipped a bit, seeing as Pt. 7 just came out this past Reitaisai and there are actually two prequels. So yeah. A little longer than just three parts.

Thanks for your works on that series! It's greatly appreciated

My reason for translating, grandiose as it may sound, is basically to have something to do increase the net amount of translated Touhou in the world

That's a noble goal and we salute you for this :)

Asuna what are you doing there? You have nothing but that sword, the other ones are or has stand against gods one time or another, you will be collateral damage if the weakest of them missfire

Negima's Asuna would sure have helped a lot more, with her magic-cancel hax
