This suddenly explains the Tawawa-verse and how the Tawawa corporation managed to become so big. Someone discovered the drug that increases bust size and made a fortune!

If only Ai-chan was a bit taller, we can have symmetrical docking.

I, for one, can live with Symmetrical Stacking

Because the current measurement system actually reflects how bras work, physically, and how you get a bra that actually fits your whole thorax accurately. It's only bad when you try to use cup size as a "stat" to compare different women by, but that's not what they were intended for anyway. There's no reasonable context where you need to precisely quantify how much bigger your boobs are than another woman's boobs - this isn't Manyuu Hikenchou.

Notably, bra sizes and fit can vary drastically between brands, and even between product lines from the same brand. It's a terrible system as currently implemented, only useful to women once they've tried one or more examples of a particular product line. There's famously a statistic about it: 80% of women are wearing the wrong bra size. There's seemingly also a prejudice against larger actual cup sizes - "I can't possibly be a D - those are huge", etc, that causes women to wear too big a band and too small a cup size.

Bra sizes straight up aren't standardized - the only way most women will get a properly fitting bra is to consult a professional.

On the comic itself... So Ai-chan is technically the same cup size as Kouhai-chan, yet in the Tawawa manga volumes, Ai-chan seems to have breast envy towards Kouhai-chan, implying that the latter's breasts are at least slightly "bigger" in absolute volume (which would be plausible if their upper torsos have different dimensions).

Ai-chan seems to be a fair bit shorter than Kouhai-chan, so will have a smaller band size. Every band size you go up, you lose a cup size in the bra for the same "sized" breasts (called 'sister' sizes)

So a 65-J would be a 70-I, for example, for the breasts being the same volume.

Showing your body for money? Darkness lies at the end of that road, girl. Best quit it now.

She's not showing anything. She was just warming the coin up :P

What's with that reaction?

The comment seems to be "Can I go <somewhere>". She's basically teasing him by showing off half a mummy costume and saying she's going out in it. His response is, rather emphatically, no.

So, should we just call this and make the swap to rikei-chan_(tawawa)?

Probably. Conversation seems to have died off. I just came back to see how it had turned out.

In any case, weep for her back. She's going to have her mother's problems.

I think that's been a foregone conclusion for both Ai and her sister for quite some time.

Damn, girl. You just don't stop growing, do you?

You have seen her mother, right?

According to the results of me digging around, rikei is how 理系 is supposed to be pronounced, yes. And I confirmed that Himura actually used this nickname before in post #3477584, so I'm not averse to switching over since it appears he's settled on it as her official name.

... Wait, are we going to call her "Sciences-chan" or "Rikei-chan"? If the former, why pluralize it?

I'd go with Rikei-chan, as that's literally what he's named her. I believe all other characters are called by romanized versions of his official names? Wanting to call her "Sciences" instead of "Rikei" because rikei isn't as common a word in otaku circles as something like kohai is seems like a poor excuse to not use her "real/official" name. We don't call "Kohai-chan" "Junior-chan", after all.

... How the hell did they get Volleybu-chan to be a cheerleader?! She's the one who should be getting cheered on, as the implied ace of the volleyball girls' team! XD

If anime has taught me anything, this is showing the school's sports festival, where people get to choose from the available events. Not everyone does every event, and Volleybu-chan has enough admirers that she probably got pushed into doing the cheerleading event

I'm guessing that they think she's talking to a boy? and their mother / big sister instinct are going off.

Ai and Mom are upset because they realized that little sis lumped them under the "Aged" category

My, but she cleans up nice!

*Edit*
I just noticed that she's actually wearing the twitter bikini underneath that top

i really hope we get a figure of ai-chan in that uniform someday, it really suits her!

We did. Search Tawawa on Hobby Search.

The girl holding a crutch next to Kakyou-san is probably the junior Kouhai-san talked about.

I'd guess she was the one who was supposed to be doing the cosplay, but twisted her ankle or somesuch, so Kakyo and the circle members called in Kouhai as reinforcements.

I thought scan lines are limited to CRT-era monitors or video tape recordings. Do you still get scan lines on LCD or OLED screens?

You don't normally, but it's an excellent (but apparently outdated?) shorthand to reference her as "a virtual/in screen entity".

People who emulate video games look for ways to artificially re-introduce scanlines on non-crts in order to create a more authentic experience.

On a side note, this has been a very "I'm showing my age" moment, looking at confusion in the comments over what a scanline is :O

She has Scanlines! I didn't notice them until I zoomed in to the picture, for... uh... research purposes?

HAHAHAHAH! That face! They don't need to worry about her drowning so much as her melting away in that hotspring!
