■ I saw The Karate Kid (the remade version) at a friend's house and found it interesting, so I tried drawing this. I've traced the Fuyuki Church and such.
Incidentally, the Japanese title for The Karate Kid is Best Kid.
I figured I'd forgo the usual pseudo-Japanese nonsense in favor of these more linguistically- and contextually-appropriate flavors. I hope you don't mind, eh, amici mio?
That last text box has two references in it. The first bit directly references the Touma's taste in women, ripped verbatim from the novel. The second bit references the Japanese name for Touma's "Imagine Breaker," with the killing of illusions.

It's just the silly wording I chose to describe a clear plastic sheet you place over the part of the picture you're not working on so that you can brace your drawing hand against it without smudging all the graphite to hell and back.
