This is probably the most realistic portrayal of Scheherazade I've seen on this site.

For the Indians (origin of the story), like every other civilization, being paler (or having long, well-maintained nails) was a sign of not having to work outdoors for a living i.e. of wealth.
However, Indians, unless albino, rarely get paler than this, so it is highly likely that this is the sort of skin tone Scheherazade should have been envisaged with.
