I remember when Atlanta's AA was good in World of Warships. And she could actually damage things.

Then they decided to nerf her into dust.

A rare quality fan service shot from Ido-sensei.

That wasn’t fan service. That was simply a shot from Warspite’s perspective. It just so happens that she got a real good view.

I’m being sarcastic by the way.

Cat-mouthed Collie in the last panel is actually quite cute though.

Idle games. Does she mean clickers, or the type that just makes numbers go up without you having to do anything?

It means any game where the majority of progress is done without player input, some have no player input whatsoever, but most have at least a minimum amount so as to at least look like an actual game. They've gotten really popular on the mobile market recently, to the point that some games treat not having to actually play the game as a "revolutionary and groundbreaking concept" and use it as a big selling point.

See AFK Arena, as an example I've seen far to many ads for. Raid Shitty Legends also likes to advertise its autoplay button as a core feature.

And that's why I offered idles I have personally played, rather than what the advertisers say the game has. I have never played RSL before (and don't intend to), but my guts don't think it was built from ground up as an idle since I have never heard of that tune they're singing.

On another tune of the same tirade, I know 'sex sells', but using it to advertise tings that will not have any of that slimy stuff shown will end up backfiring. (Think smth like Evony at its worst; Evony was an MMORTS, of fucking course it won't have all those scantily-lad women, especially one that's begging for your help!)

I just seems ridiculous for them to advertise not having to play the game as some sort of point in its favor. I mean, if I don't want to play a game, I can just not buy it. Why should buy a game that I'm not going to do anything with?

Idle games are usually F2P, most mobile games have adopted the F2P model. The usual draw is that they're a game you can enjoy and make progress in even if you don't have the free time to play it a lot. Some have extremely predatory inapp purchases, though, Raid being particularly bad about it.

Well, could be one where there is a game to it, but once set up you don't have to do much except the dailies and events (like me and Granblue), or even just open it to roll the gacha when you can. If you don't care about late-game or high-level content, a lot of mobage are pretty hands-off once you get to a certain point.

Not even Cookie Clicker tier?

... now that you mentioned it, most of the idles I've actually played does not do dailies (be it task or login bonus). I don't think Cookie Clicker, at least when I was actively playing (which was at least 2 years back, mind), did dailies either.

You can do that with every single mobage out there which has a login reward system. It doesn't matter how grindy, exploitative or money grubbing a mobage is. It WILL have a portion of players who have at least one account (which could be their only account) to which they only login daily to collect rewards.

That's also helped by how frequently a lot of new mobages throw out event rewards. It's like every time the CEO sneezes everyone gets a lump of currency in the mail. Almost a game in itself to see what you get each day even if you don't feel like playing otherwise.

Ah... this was nice. I can see Bernie wanting to leave flowers for Jeralt because of something like this.
