No, never mind, I figured out what you're saying. Thought you meant that he had the wrong names aliased to the wrong nicknames, but it's that we shouldn't make an exception to the standard practice of using the original names.
No. You go with how they were originally called in Japan and that's that.

However, maybe alias the other way [claw -> balrog], etc. That'll keep in line with original names while giving an easier way for searching/tagging.

Is there a thing somewhere that shows what order you're supposed to do it? The instructions for creating an alias request use the terms "aaa" and "bbb" but don't say which is supposed to be which.
If you alias aaa -> bbb, you say "aaa is another name for bbb." Every time someone tags a post "aaa," Danbooru will tag it "bbb" instead. Every time someone searches for "aaa," Danbooru will automatically search for "bbb" instead.
