The big problem is it will require a lot of work from people who intimately know each series or a ton of wiki scouring. Either way we should probably stop ignoring it.

Current system, as far as I know, is that we tag the first game a character appears in and the the franchise tag. I had been thinking it over and this really makes no sense, why on earth would one want to search for all the images of characters who started in street fighter 4 as opposed to outfits unique to it/characters unique to it/lineups of all the characters in it/the inkblot style completely unique to it?

I'll try to do some work on this.

Main tags to cut down:

• Capcom and SNK are completely overused by taggers - if anything, these tags should be restricted to crossover or official art only.

• SF II series
• street fighter ii I've mostly cleaned up.

• SF Zero series:
• I can't think of any good reasons to keep the different tags street fighter zero i, street fighter zero 2, street fighter zero 3. They can all be aliased to street fighter zero IMHO

• SF III series
• street_fighter_iii:_2nd_impact is being used for official art only.
• street_fighter_iii:_3rd_strike should be restricted to Q, Twelve, group shots, official art or references (e.g. post #1329839)

• SF IV series
• street fighter iv should be restricted to alternate costume pics, maybe also kuruoshiki_oni
• super street fighter iv can be aliased to street fighter iv; it's pretty much Han Juri and/or Hakan (and family).
• ultra street fighter iv is fine for now.

• Blazblue's subtags are being managed fine.
• King of Fighters appears messy, but it's mostly official art causing extra tags.

If there are any other copyright tags used like this besides fighting games I think those should be cleaned up too.

GS is the only other series that I can think of off the top of my head that someone attempted to do the first appearance way and we squashed that right away.

Create alias arcana_heart_2 -> arcana_heart
Create alias arcana_heart_3 -> arcana_heart

Also, good idea to copy the wiki entries into arcana_heart.
