There are a lot of subtle corner cases and I don't expect taggers to keep the difference straight. Therefore it also implies that the person doing the stabbing is the aggressor. By this logic, an image would be tagged as <a class="dtext-link dtext-wiki-link tag-type-0" href="/wiki_pages/stabbing">stabbing</a> if it's presently happening.</p><p>Stabbed is the past tense of stabbing, but it can also talk about how the victim received their wounds. Likewise, an image would be tagged <a class="dtext-link dtext-wiki-link tag-type-0" href="/wiki_pages/stabbed">stabbed</a> if it already happened and we're just seeing the aftermath.</p><p>Whether or not it's <a class="dtext-link dtext-wiki-link tag-type-0" href="/wiki_pages/murder">murder</a> depends on how fatal the stab wounds are.
