We don't need the contributor and janitor levels if permissions are treated like a badge earned and not a level ranked up, it's deputizing and delegating functions so that Moderators aren't overwhelmed, and keeping the color system for permissions retains the structure we now have.

Also, this is my opinion, but I think that gaining such a permission should also invoke an upgrade to builder status. We've got 2 member level users with approval powers, which seems rather odd. We should bring them up to builder at least.
buehbueh/users/192105tag:danbooru.me,2005:ForumPost/1089122015-10-23T17:59:57-04:002015-10-23T18:01:52-04:00@MagicalAsparagus: True, we could have purple for unlimited...
True, we could have purple for unlimited uploads and green for approve permissions like before. You don't usually have the approve permisson without obtaining unlimited uploads before that, so there shouldn't be any confusion about it.
MagicalAsparagus/users/313336tag:danbooru.me,2005:ForumPost/1089112015-10-23T17:54:19-04:002015-10-23T17:54:19-04:00@Schrobby: I wonder why that was done.

Will he at least update the user listing search then to include the ability to search based on these privileges? Searching based on rank starts losing meaning when a primary defining feature is no longer tied to a rank.

edit: Also calling it overkill is a bit much, when it's the system that is becoming more complex, but yet not increasing then the complexity of the UI to match it.
NWF_Renim/users/13392tag:danbooru.me,2005:ForumPost/1089032015-10-23T14:53:38-04:002015-10-23T14:53:55-04:00@Toks: > NWF_Renim said:
