While I admire the dedication of the user who populated hairy pussy with over a thousand posts in the last couple months, I'm inclined to wonder whether this tag is too subjective to be of any value. The tag's description is remarkably vague, with the question of what counts as "thick" or "bushy" being left to individual interpretation.

The use of this tag certainly isn't limited to notably shaggy cases of pubic hair (e.g. post #2006844, post #2208073, obviously nsfw). It frequently gets used on images where barely any pubic hair is even visible (see post #1547112, post #1589608, post #1605138, post #1651811, still nsfw). Alternatively, it may be obviously trimmed (post #1831671) or untrimmed but definitely not "thick" either (post #2212673).

Considering how this tag is so ill-defined and how it's being used all over the place, does anyone else doubt its viability as a useful tag?

When I think of hairy_pussy I think like really hairy. Like noticeably unshaved. It's useful because it can be tagged but it needs some specification. Like how much hair we're talking. How much does it cover the vagina to qualify. If just sparse hairs surrounding said vagina is enough.

Could use a lot more input though because, like you said, it's something that's interpreted individually. Especially when I'm thinking of my definition of "hairy enough."

"Shaggy" is the only way this tag will be of any use. Otherwise it's redundant with pubic_hair.

But, would "bush" suggest a "block" of hair? For a tag like this, I'd imagine the like as which isn't just on the mons pubis.

While it might see some misuse, I think it's a valid tag that can probably be cleaned up with a more careful definition; it's not substantially different from most other "quantitative" tags like height, breast size, or hair color -- the exact dividing line for it might not be clear, but it definitely refers to a real, distinct thing that uniquely describes some images. The right approach is probably to come up with a tight definition and then clean it up.
