[bulk] Knees up to legs up

Finally want to have a clear distinction between those tags or that they should be treated the same, therefore the alias. This came to mind because of one forum post (I think it was EB, but I'm not so sure about it). The post asked if there is a big/neccessary distinction between these tags.
There wasn't a discussion going on after the question was there, so therefore this request.

(And I admit I formerly saw a distinction between these tags, but that felt more constructed than logical...)

I my opinion there are valid (and logical) reasons (see forum #112843) for differentiating between leg_up, feet_up and knee_up.

I don't see any problem with these tags remaining separate as long as they are well-defined and kept cleaned up. The difference between raising only the knee(s) (post #2238611, post #2375036) and raising the entire leg(s) (post #2144871, post #1975263) is significant enough in my opinion to be worth maintaining the extra tags. Especially when some images are deserving of both tags, like post #1896001.

I believe the post you're referring to was forum #114241, which was about feet up. I'm not so sure whether this tag is desirable . While the (presently nonexistent) singular foot up could be useful for searching standing on one leg poses that are neither knee up nor leg up (e.g. post #2012664), it would be difficult to stand in a pose in which both feet are raised.

Sorry about all the parentheses.

Further comparisons:

(one_leg_raised is alias material for leg_up)

Updated

throwing leg lift in :p

1. +1 alias one leg raised and leg up
The way they're tagging and their wiki are similar. Forum discussion is nice and all but it's not offical ( or followed in long time ) unitl the wiki is fixed. Users aren't gonna search for forum disscuss about the tag when the wiki's already there.

2. Suggestion: (pardon my grammar :3)

  • leg up: "Any position where a single leg is lifted into the air."
    • a new tag: The entire leg lifted up into the air, maybe plus a rule of thumb like ~ 'knee and foot should be above hip level' or something ~ prefer adjusting leg lift wiki to fit this position.
  • knee up: Any position where a single knee is up in the air and is the highest point of the whole leg. (borrow reiyasona's idea)
  • Plus (s) to the plural.

leg_up: post #2055310 post #2401728
knee_up: post #2376223
leg_lift: post #2349483 post #2263209
leg_up knee_up: post #2403914 post #2044369
leg_up knees_up: post #2377141
legs_up knee_up leg_lift: post #1896001

foot/feet up could be covered by leg(s)_up on_stomach

+1 for wiki changing the wikis first.

  • leg up: "Any position where a single leg is lifted into the air."
    • a new tag: The entire leg lifted up into the air, maybe plus a rule of thumb like ~ 'knee and foot should be above hip level' or something ~ prefer adjusting leg lift wiki to fit this position.

Posts containing leg_lift are comparable in lack of definition to posts containing leg_up. Cleanup required!
But which intuitive name would you choose to describe an entirely lifted leg? entirely_lifted_leg maybe? xD

foot/feet up could be covered by leg(s)_up on_stomach

That's a possibility.

Throwing in some more tags:

inb4 tag gardening xD
