Didn't it used to be free to look at the ''Censored'' tags? What happened. Couldn't take the pressure from the haters? Psh.

I registered for nothing, and I'm not going to use Danbooru if THIS is how it's gonna be. Soon you'll have half the site locked behind 50$ monthly paywalls and you're going to crash and burn horribly.

I don't reject the idea of donations to keep the site up. But I DO reject locking CONTENT behind those donations.

There are sites to find cendored tag content without paying if you have will for it.

I personally use danbooru because I like it and no annoying ads.

I just wish there was paypal-option on upgrading.

You're free to use Gelbooru if you so desire. Most of their content is ripped straight from Danbooru, but without the tag blocks, but their site is rather obnoxious in my opinion. Danbooru's content walls are a legacy from when the site used to host ads and have been around for years, and isn't some new thing that's been introduced recently.

Yeah, this. The paywall has stayed the same for nearly a decade now. The initial reasoning was also less "haters" and more "people could get fined or arrested for associating with this content". The circumstances were unique; it's extremely unlikely that any more tags are going to receive similar treatment in the future.

I also have to note that the one-time $20 fee Danbooru charges is cheaper than most porn sites' one-month subscription fees, and a lot of individual artists would charge even more for just one picture. Money makes the world go 'round.

Others have already informed you of both where to go to get the content you desire and why danbooru charges so this thread has run its course.
