Questions about taging Transformers

Posted under Tags

Looking at the tags for transformers I find some uncertainties.
Should we tag no humans when they are in humanoid form?
Do small Transformers qualify for the humanoid robot tag or are they always mecha?
Is it science fiction? It feels more like fantasy with robots to me.
Do we tag humanoid form transformers with aircraft or tank if they have visible elements of those?
Should we tag them with the 80s tag? I admit I dont quite get this tag.

Only if no humans are present.

Why do we even have both tags...? :/

It's science fiction... it's within the realm of the probable.

I'm leaning towards no...

Not unless there are 80s elements present.

The 80s tag refers to art style alone, not the era in which the copyright originated. Fanart from an 1980s franchise can be drawn in the original style, a modern style, or anything in between. Here is a nifty chart depicting the evolution of anime art (sorry I don't have a mecha equivalent).

Is the presence of mecha alone enough to justify this tag? Tagging all Transformers art science fiction is like tagging all Touhou art fantasy.

Sorry, I was just answering the question... that's why I replied with bold words instead of a wiki link. Science fiction just like fantasy should be reserved for those images that have that theme as their central point.
