Girls Frontline and object namesake tag

Posted under Tags

Another user asked me this question which made me unsure and I couldn't find any past discussions about it so I thought I'd ask it here to make sure: Should Girls Frontline posts be tagged with object namesake when the girl and the gun they are based on are in the same image? Compared to Kantai Collection and personification, not all images will contain both the girl and the gun they are named after (right now there only 31 images out of 5478 with both tags and 21 of them are my uploads) but I can see the reasoning for not tagging it too.

I assume personification should be left out for the same reason as the Kantai Collection case.

I was the one who originally suggested for the tag's existence way back in forum #70904, but that was just before the days when games featuring a gazillion personifications of a category of items with tons of subsets (Kantai Collection and ships, Girls Frontline and guns, Flower Knight Girl and flowers, Kemono Friends and animals, etc.) existed, so I never anticipated this scenario back then.

I don't see why object namesake wouldn't apply to GF characters and their respective guns though. I always use that tag when uploading FKG art featuring a girl with the flower/plant she's named after (post #2431781, post #2961000, post #2813385, etc). I've never used personification though because I thought it would create too much tag noise when it's such a popular tag. Using object_namesake though shouldn't be much of an issue IMO, but I'm not active with uploading GF images anymore since I'm not familiar with guns, so maybe someone else will have a different opinion.
