Should about:userscripts should be listed on the site map?

Posted under General

about:userscripts contains a lot of helpful scripts that substantially ease someone’s load when uploading. However, this page isn’t really visible, in my opinion. Most new users that I’ve talked to have no idea of this page’s existence. I think that it would be beneficial to the entire userbase if this page was linked under “tools” on the site map, or possibly even on the upload page.
Thoughts?

Sure, I think it's fine. I'm not sure where the best place is; I'm not sure the upload page is the best because that thing is crowded already.

Yeah, but perhaps also adding a link to the site map under the tools section as ceres mentioned since not everyone checks the forums.

Maybe having a sticky topic in the forums that lists all userscripts?

We already have topic #8502 for them, but I switched to a wiki page for listing them so that it would be easier to keep updated.

Yeah, I think that a wiki page for stuff like this gets drowned very easily.
Even if we put it into help:home it would be drowned.

This is a bit of a side topic, but what about organizing the CSS in topic #9662 into a wiki entry? If so, would it be better to transpose the CSS or just link to the forum post?

Looking at it, since I rarely glance at the bar, and taking a quick understanding of the site map [ Which for some incomprehensible reason is called 'More', and not 'Site Map' ] I'm gonna say I can't think why Tools isn't on the top navbar.

Then shove it in that.

That wouldn't be a bad idea to make "Tools" an option in the header bar.
The same could be done with "User Reports".

The Site Map is actually only interesting for Approvers and Moderators (Appeals, Mod Actions, Flags, Upload History) since everything else is already available via the header bar.

That would be the best exposure of useful information and there is plenty of space in the header bar left.
