It's the sort of thing that people would have a fetish for so it could get reasonably well used if the tags started being applied widely.

Black is the most common colour, but it isn't dominant to the extent that it makes having a tag for it pointless - there are quite a lot of reds, whites and purples, as well as a smattering of more unusual ones like in post #1900675. Black blindfolds are also depicted on a very wide variety of characters - the only reason the black blindfold tag is so dominated by 2B right now is because she has the tag linked from her wiki page.
skylightcrystal/users/557539tag:danbooru.me,2005:ForumPost/1473172018-05-27T16:56:43-04:002018-05-27T17:24:37-04:00@user_559901: Well, people usually only remind to use this...
Well, people usually only remind to use this tag when 2B is on the picture, so yes, it's a little bit useless (for now), but if you guys are not going to delete the black_blindfold tag, implying it to blindfold makes easier to tag from now on.
user_559901/users/559901tag:danbooru.me,2005:ForumPost/1473162018-05-27T16:35:27-04:002018-05-27T16:35:27-04:00@Unbreakable: First we should ask ourselves if we really need...
First we should ask ourselves if we really need colour tags for blindfolds.
Unbreakable/users/430030tag:danbooru.me,2005:ForumPost/1473152018-05-27T16:07:52-04:002018-05-27T23:08:31-04:00@user_559901: create implication black_blindfold -> blindfold...
create implication black_blindfold -> blindfold

Link to implication

self-explanatory

EDIT: The tag implication black_blindfold -> blindfold (forum #147315) has been approved by @Hillside_Moose.
user_559901/users/559901
