Can we just switch those "color gloves" tags to "color handwear" (similar to eyewear and legwear tags)? I wanna use them on mittens and oven mitts.

I couldn't see bridal gauntlets as gloves because most of the time they don't really cover the whole hand. Even if they are gloves, "bridal gauntlets" look different enough to seperate them with gloves (mittens as well). The implication might just add noise into the gloves tag.

That could work. Might be a pain to garden those posts out though, and to enforce such usage.
nonamethanks/users/508240tag:danbooru.me,2005:ForumPost/1476982018-06-08T11:44:57-04:002018-06-08T11:46:53-04:00@yelite: Can we just switch those "color gloves" tags to...
Can we just switch those "color gloves" tags to "color handwear" (similar to eyewear and legwear tags)?
I didn't know we were supposed to tag them with elbow gloves or colour_gloves tags at all, if elbow-length is the norm shouldn't we tag the exception rather?

Either way I say they are different from gloves.

I've started tagging the colored versions after I saw people tagging them - same with the elbow thing. Also pretty much every definition of gauntlet I could find describes them as gloves (like the wikipedia page ).

If they're not gloves, then do we need separate color tags for them? Because otherwise we'll still have over 3k mistagged posts.
nonamethanks/users/508240tag:danbooru.me,2005:ForumPost/1476962018-06-08T10:59:46-04:002018-06-08T11:00:01-04:00@Unbreakable: I didn't know we were supposed to tag them with...
I didn't know we were supposed to tag them with elbow gloves or colour_gloves tags at all, if elbow-length is the norm shouldn't we tag the exception rather?

Either way I say they are different from gloves.
Unbreakable/users/430030tag:danbooru.me,2005:ForumPost/1476952018-06-08T10:55:32-04:002018-06-12T02:30:44-04:00@nonamethanks: create implication bridal_gauntlets -> gloves
